Nick Barnhorst, a Charlotte native, started Five Stones Training out of a passion for helping young athletes grow both on and off the field. After more than 20 years of playing at high-level club and collegiate soccer and over a decade of coaching, Nick saw an opportunity to build something bigger than just training sessions. Rooted in faith and driven by a love for the game, Five Stones Training is focused on pushing players beyond what they think they’re capable of while building confidence, discipline, and a genuine passion for soccer.

Through dedication and faith-driven principles, Five Stones Training aims to develop both the athletic and personal growth of every player. Our vision is to contribute to the development of youth soccer here in America one player at a time. Through professionally curated sessions, Five Stones Training will push players past what they perceived was their limit.

In the Bible, David collected five smooth stones from a brook before his battle with Goliath as part of this preparation to fight. At Five Stones Training, we believe each player should hold 5 core values to defeat whatever giants they may come across in their soccer career.
